No more Summer Garden

We just harvested the rest of the peppers! They are heirloom, so are still smaller then I like them to be. Regardless, here they are.  And the purple thing, is a purple pepper! Try saying that 5x fast! :o)~

We had several garden beds this year, but my daughters far outweight any of mine. She planted a 20 cent pack of Zinna flowers all around her raised bed and it helped some how to keep the good bugs close, and keep the bad bugs far. I am so proud of her!! I had hundreds of bugs and tons of squash bugs. I need to buy some neem oil for next year. We try to do it all Organic, so didn’t spray anything. I had a friend swear by Neem oil, so plan to give that a try.

I took more updated pictures this evening. We harvested 25 Squash which had  me knee deep in baking Squash bread to freeze for the Winter months! I made  8 loaves and stil  have at least 20 more to go! Will post pics up that tomorrow. :o)
