7 month Keto Update

I went to the doctors for a checkup and a full bloodwork panel this past week. To my joy, I am Now down 55lbs. I am Keto 6 days a week and have one cheat day. No sugar though. I have not had any refined sugar since last December. No cravings whatsoever. And my husband eats his PF Chang’s chocolate cake and cheesecake next to me and I could care less. THIS is Huge! Lol

My cheat days are days where I will have a potato, fried Chicken, or gluten free pasta.

I use Keto bread twice a month too. They also sell the hamburger rolls. This brand resembles Wonder Bread to me.

I no longer crave regular bread at all. I think this shocks me the most, as I’m a former sandwich junkie. And Subway has been my weakness since age 15, when I worked there.. 😁

I’m aiming to lose another fifty more pounds in the next year.

Here are a few samples of what I am currently eating . I know! I know! These do not look appealing to the eyes. I just want to be upfront that I’m not eating fancy in any sense of the word. I do not get bored of this rotation because after I eat, I’m satisfied. One big meaty meal a day, and one big salad. I fast for 12-16 hours a day.

For me, I feel the best when I eat boring foods. Sirloin steaks on my indoor George Forman grill, bratwurst sausages, breakfast sausages, eggs, cheese, salads, stew meat, cottage cheese, chia, plain Greek yogurt, SF jello and SF popsicles, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, an occasional nectarine, coffee with stevia, butter, and full cream, grilled chicken, and shrimp cocktail.

Stew beef made in the pleasure cooker, breakfast sausages, avocado, cheese, mushrooms.
A nectarine, cheese, Black Forest Ham, bratwurst, and avocado.

Special Keto junk foods that keep me from ALL cravings are any Atkins Keto snack and meal bars. I swear the Carmel nut roll tastes like a snickers bar to me.

I drink The Muscle Milks with 2carbs. These are things I throw in my purse when I know we will be going out for an extended period of time, and hubby and the kids may go through a drive through. That said, I do go to Wendy’s once a week and order a burger with no bun. You can order multiple burgers with no buns and they give you a discount. As far as soda, I am drinking one Diet Coke per week. This is only if we are out to dinner with friends, or to wash down the Wendy’s. And yes, I know any soda is pure poison.

Once a month I buy Russel Stover SF chocolate peanut butter cups. Walmart’s Keto ones are also good.

Once a month I buy Quest frozen pizzas and Quest Chips. These pizzas serve two and are $7 at Walmart. The chips serve one and are $2.39 per bag.

I am still recovering from a knee injury so I am not doing any working out and I still losing weight, so this IS possible to do! I plan to make this a life long eating habit because I don’t feel restricted and I like the way it makes me feel.

Again, I’m not a die hard Keto Expert, I’m just sharing what is working for me. My doctor tells me that the best diet, is the one that works for you.

My blood work has all come back fine. My iron is at a healthier level. My vitamin D is up. My thyroid is healing and they were able to reduce my NP Thyroid. Cholesterol is fine. Glucose and A1C is perfect. Kidneys are fine. I do not have any health issues except for an under active Thyroid.

Oh! I almost forgot to add the Keto Vitamins I take each day. They are from Amazon. I have been taking these for six months.

And that is everything. 🙂

12 Week Keto Update

Today I am Exactly 30lbs down. I was hoping it would be fifty. Granted, I have not been able to workout these past two weeks with all the home renovations going on.

Here is another sample of what my main meals have been since my last update. Pretty much similar to last month. I do not get tired or bored of salads.
