Ebay Update

A quick run down on this past years negative feed backs and returns.

For the amount of things I sell, which is roughly one hundred per month, I receive four returns per month. It is rare that someone is ugly, but it has happened a few times this past year.

These are the items where people were not very nice. Therefore, after they were handled with, they were added to my eBay blocked list. Ebay has this option for people who you do not care to do business with in the future, so it’s a must.

1. Authentic Gucci Guilty Parfume– Buyer claimed it arrived shattered, but did not want to go through post office protocol for insurance return claim.

I asked for a picture to submit as proof to the post office; seller refused. Then seller left a negative feedback claiming the Parfume bottle she received was empty. (This did result in a full refund because she filed an eBay claim.)

2. Burberry Inspired Plaid Wallet– Seller did not read title or description, stating that the wallet was a designer inspired Burberry look. She thought she got a new Authentic $220 Burberry wallet for $15. She filed a claim and received a refund while leaving me a negative feedback too.

(Not everyone is nice, I realize this is part of the real world, and business.)

3. Mens Sanita Clogs– Seller left a negative feedback stating that even though the shoes were new with tags, they fell apart on the job. This was fifty days after he received them. (Who is to say, but I am not the manufacturer of the brand, so he did not get a refund.)

4. Travelers knit skirt– Seller claimed that the skirt arrived with a heavy gasoline smell. Seller never contacted me before leaving a negative feedback.

I state that I prewash everything in Arm & Hammer detergent, ‘Fresh Scent’ and that if you have any allergies, to please not purchase from me. Regardless, seller left a negative feedback.

Also…Arm & Hammers detergent doesn’t smell like gasoline. Does it? πŸ€”

I politely contacted her for an explanation. She stood firm that the skirt smelled like gasoline. I offered her a refund in return for her to remove the negative feedback. Which she did. She also apologized to me, and it turned out that she was a seller also.

5. Urban Decay Foundation– This was listed as a new without box face Foundation. I bought it and it was too dark for me, so I sold it.

I stated twice, that I did not have the box anymore. Seller left me a negative that said it was good, but had no box. I didn’t contact her or refund her. She did not file any claims.

So there you have it. These were all the bad apples that I had for 2017, regarding eBay.

I did have another lady that threatens to leave me a negative if I didn’t XYZ… and I reported her.

urrently I am Expecting two more returns. Both from people who said that the items did not fit. Which is fine. I do make sure that I always list the garments measurements. But these things happen. Measurements are a must if you are a clothing seller. Of course I do find it odd at times, because I buy things second hand all the time, and never pull out a tape measure beforehand. I also never bother trying anything on at the mall, Marshall’s, TJ Max, etc. I know my size, and what fits.

I’m not a return it type of gal either. I have bought plenty on eBay in the past that didn’t fit, but I can’t be bothered with returns, so I use to just pass things onto friends. Nowadays, I simply resell them. I have a fair amount of resellers who purchase from me, and then return if they don’t like the fit.

In my mind, I’m always thinking… you are a seller, why don’t you just resell the item on your account? Why bother with a return..

t is also interesting to note that the people who pay $9-15 for an item, are generally the ones that return them.

This group of buyers are even responsible for paying to have the item returned to me.

So if sell a item for $14.99, the buyer pays $7.20 also, for shipping.

Then they pay $7.20 a second time to receive the $14.99 refund back. But really, they are only getting $7.79 back. πŸ€”

So if you want less returns, I have found that selling items over $20 is the way to go. Currently my average is $26

I am hoping to get it to double that by this time next year.

Blocking someone on eBay is very easy to do.

Christmas 2017

It was a very special Christmas Day this year. Not to say that others were not, but there was a different feeling this year that previous years didn’t quite have. I never though that I’d enjoy my kids any more then I could possibly enjoy them, yet, with each year.. my heart grows and more love over flows.

Praising God for his wonder and Love. ❀️

Revlon All In One Mascara

I know I’m late to the party, as this mascara has been out for over a year. I think it may hVe launched the end of 2015. πŸ€”

Everyone and their cousins sister has been raving about this particular mascara. My friends have all asked me about it, and even my daughter told me how great it was.

But seeing as I’ve become somewhat of a high end mascara snob, I’ve been using Benefits they’re real mascara for over a year, and simply love it. I also use the matching mascara primer. And when I want something different on the lower end, I enjoy Hard Candy’s lash ink mascara, which lasts for 3-4 days with no touch ups.

That shared, while I was at Walmart last night, I noticed the Revlon mascara display and noticed this mascara.

Thoughts popped into my head of everyone who has told me how great it was.. and for under five dollars, I thought I’d give it a go.

I decided to try it this morning and as soon as I opened it, I knew it was not going to be good.

Like, what is this gloppy mess?! Really!

Wayyy too much comes out and there seems to be a huge opening without that added plastic piece that is suppose to wipe off the extra mascara from he wand. As you can see, it’s a huge mess!

I did try it out, but it was so horrible looking that I didn’t even take a picture of the mess. It clumped all my eye lashes together.. just as I expected it would. And looked as if I had a black eye when trying to remove it.

It just seems like such a waste if I have to tissue off all the added product left on the wand every time I use it. I did like the size of the small wand. It’s the formula that was the issue.

So I will be bringing it back to the store tonight for a refund.

I showed my daughter and she said that hers didn’t look like this, so perhaps it was a bad batch.

But for now, I will continue on with what I know works.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this one?

Walmart Purse review

Shocking! I know.

I enjoy luxury items most of the time. I’m a confessing brand snob, if you will. Not proud.

I sleep on vicose sheets.

I carry real leather bags.

I wear real leather coats.

I wear name brand clothing, unless I’m out sourcing.

I wear Quality shoes.

You get the point.

I wasn’t always this way. Not by a long shot.

Maybe as you age, you just want to treat yourself better. If possible. I’m the same with my kids. Not that they care about brands. Except my oldest.

Also; I should point out…nothing has to be brand new to me. I’d much rather have a used quality item then a brand new cheap one. I know many friends who insist on things being new. This is not me at all. Used, yet of good quality is fine by me. πŸ˜ƒ

Jumping into this review…
Erm…This perfect purse.

While out grocery shopping a couple months ago, I decided to wiz through the the handbags; just for fun.

My eyes went to a Big Buddha bag, which use to be a higher end brand. I examined the quality made Purses, which had $40-$50 price tags. 😳Much too much for Walmart, I quickly thought thought.

Then I walked over to all the other bags. Like the one above. Not real leather, but for the $9.97 price tag… I picked one up to inspect. It didn’t feel like leather. But it felt okay. Zippers felt smooth and opened with ease. Adjustable strap. Stitching and seams were all straight. No loose threading. It looked and felt lightweight. All things I look at, before purchasing  a new bag.
I have been looking for a cross-body purse that I could use while out sourcing, and thought that it would be a perfect little bag for the task.

I thought it would be a perfect hands free bag.

They came in maroon, black, brown, hunter green, cream, and Navy. They looked like they had a place that another color was, but it must have been sold out. Awesome color selection too!

I chose the black one. I know. Boring..

I brought it home and my daughter quickly noticed the purse sticking out of the Walmart bag.

She gave me an odd look. “Walmart?” She questioned me.

I told her that I needed something cheap that I didn’t care if it got dirty, etc. But more importantly, I needed something that would allow me to source with my hands free… because a fanny pack just wouldn’t fit around my fanny. 😏

That night I took everything out of my Calvin Klein bag, and placed it in my new ten dollar Walmart purse. Then I tried it on. You know, walked around the house with it. Hands free!

My husband saw me, and asked if I was going somewhere. I told him no.. then explained to him how I bought a special purse to use when I went out sourcing.

Of course he didn’t understand. Men!? 😐

So where is this longgg drawn out story going….

In a nutshell: I source a few times a week and I found myself switching back and forth all month long…

But then I found myself upset when I had kept switching back to my designer bags..😱

I was actually missing my cheap little gem.

This bag is the perfect medium size, hands free, bag. It is!

It has just the right amount of pockets, and us set up so practical.

Cell phone slips easily on one side, which doesn’t have a snap or zipper closure.

Stevia, Lippy, and pen in the other side. (Showing In the above picture) which does zip.

Large inside with side zippered area for smaller stuff. I can for a full size wallet, notepad, more makeup, and first aid in the main pouch.

The bag is the best $10 I ever spent!

So for the past month I have been solely carrying it.

I was at a friends house the other day, when she noticed my bag and asked me which brand it was. Knowing that I only carry nicer bags..

I smiled,  and told her Walmart! 🀣

Her reply: Noooooo!

So last night while out grocery shopping… I grabbed one in gray. I guess that’s the color that was sold out last time.

Now I have one to switch over too when I want to look extra put together. 😁

There we go.. She’s all set! 😊

Week in Review

It has been the start to a busy new season for me.

These past couple of weeks I started Birthday and Christmas shopping, on top of my weekly sourcing. And yes! I’m getting mentally prepared for Black Friday. Well, Thursday, actually.

Four out of five of my kids birthdays are coming up. And my husbands birthday is the month of October too. Not to mention my own birthday. Which I don’t actually celebrate anymore. I mean, 29 forever, right?! πŸ˜‰

The weekends are already booked with parties and Fall Festivals.

I did manage to spend the weekend with a couple friends who I have not hung out with in a while.
I have no internet service up where they live, so I was able to not work at all.

I am on my phone a lot… either listing, looking for inventory, researching or editing pictures. So it was a much needed break,  to just relax and catch up.

When I came back home I was right back to my normal routine of taking care of my family and well, routine. People ask me if doing the same thing week after week ever gets boring.. and the truth is, it doesn’t. I’m very maternal, so I love taking care of my kids and spending time with them. We start talking and three hours easily passes by.  I have one daughter in College. She’s coming home for Fall break this weekend. So I’m really looking forward to that.

I do my best to utilize time when it presents itself. But I’m definetly not perfect with time management. I bought a pretty vintage daily planner, but I just can’t bring myself to use it. I like to have the option of changing plans at the last minute. As much as I want to go back in time and plan every aspect of my life… I just can’t go there.
Getting back to boring….

What I would find boring is having a regular job and dealing with the same people all of the time. Even though I am a people person, I like talking to different people all the time. Whether through the Internet, or just out sourcing.

That said,  I’m very particular to who I share my time with nowadays. And it has made me a much happier, stable person. Either you are an investment to my life, and we lift one another up some how, or you don’t.  Life is too short to not live life to its fullest.

Regardless of your circumstances…Is what I mean. I love life!

What’s new with Inventory…

Six out of the ten pairs of shoes I bought this past week  have already sold. I also picked up some scrubs that have been selling. I’m currently contemplating on whether to get into toys. I just gave away about $500 worth of zu-zu pets, with their accessories… Along with all my kids old Polly pockets and barbies.

To be honest,  I have looked at toys for so many years, I’m just over it. Gosh! That sounds harsh. New life chapters began though. And that has been my focus.

I have a few things to list today after school.

Some Luluroe leggings, a couple of purses, and some statement sleeve tops.

I’m pretty set for this month. I do like to keep a dozen shoes in all sizes available though. Shoes sell very well. In fact, I just made an extensive list of shoe brands to share here.

Enjoy!

And if your business is thrifting….

It’s hard work, but keep it up!

You WILL reach your goals. πŸ˜‰

#12 Fun Friday

Yesterday was another so-so day. I even managed to get my rear out of bed by 7:30am.

But to be honest, getting up early really didn’t make me feel any better then any other day. 😐

I managed to get the rest of my listings up before school, and managed to make my kids their favorite lunch…meatballs and macaroni and cheese. What a protein pair that was!
When my husband came home we picked up one of my daughters friends and headed to the YMCA.
Everyone went swimming, and I went to the workout room to use the elliptical.
I have gained eleven pounds these past couple months. All thanks to being on a new medication for acne. ACNE! πŸ˜”

I plan to write all about that ordeal over the weekend. *sigh*
But in a nutshell, I’ve been having a sudden spurt of hormonal acne. I’m much too old to have ANY acne, so I went to a dermatologist and they hooked me up with a medication, along with a $90 tube of Retin-A.
Anyways, this new medication that I have been on for the past two months has the horrible side effect of weight gain. They did warn me.. but I thought I’d be different..
And now I am asking myself
Weight gain? Or adult acne?
Honestly, they are both equally undesirable in my opinion. 😐
That all shared, I did manage to do another workout last night.
But then we went to sheetz afterwards.

Sheetz is like a 7-11, for my Northern readers.

And while I didn’t get any food like everyone else, I did get one of their new cold brew coffee floats that probably has a bazillion calories.

Afterwards we dropped my daughters friend back off at her house and headed home.
I had five packages to wrap up from daily sales.
I sold two Halloween costumes yesterday, a bottle of perfume, a pair of converse, and a pair of Algeria sandals.

A lot of people get paid on Thursdays, so it always seems to be a good day in sales. As well as Holidays.
I then checked Firestick to see if IT, or Mother, was up yet. But Nope!
Finished Wonder Women.

Prepped some food, and then called it a night.

Todays goals, besides my daily obligations, are– Finishing a book. I’m currently rereading “13 Reasons why” and a book about Lucid Dreams.

I also need to do a Home Economics assignment with one of daughters.
My son asked me late yesterday, why there are so many different religions.
So I need to try to explain that to him later today. I need to try to figure out how to explain it in simple terms.

He also wants to know why when people get old, they stop going to church.

(His sister told him that it’s because when you are old, you already have your ‘Fire insurance’ sorta speak…. so we need to have a one on one about all of that.)

I’m contemplating working out again..I sleep so much better on the evenings where I workout.
I have a store return to handle with tonight. Contemplating whether it’s worth the $3, standing in line, etc.

I’m also toying with the idea whether to workout, or take the kids to play miniature golf.

I’m going to try to not source this weekend at all.
Hmm, and that’s about it for Fun Friday
Break time over….

Hair Ties/Rings

Ever since I saw these no pull flexible hair rings at Kohl’s, last Black Friday, I wanted them.

But there was no way I was going to dish out $8 for three pieces of plastic. Come on!

To me, you should be able to get these hair ties for a quarter each, so I just waited it out.

BTW, You can find them in that little area right before the cash registers. You know, the area that all the stores place over priced items to feed on impulse buyers while standing in a line that resembles a snail race. Yeah! That area.

So for the past six months I’ve been waiting for them to either go on sale, or drop in price. But nope! They have remained the same. They come in your basic hair colors. Black, brown, and a tan blonde shade.
I even picked them up one time to ask the cashier if there was a mistake in the price. 😐

Several months ago while shopping I brought them up to the cashier and asked her if they were really $8?

The cashier was so funny. She gave me a surprised look, as to say, “ain’t no way those are $8!”

Then she told me they are probably $4-$5 dollars. Max.

She wrung them up and gasped. Then quickly gained her composure and replied, “Oh, I guess you are right ma’am. They are $8.”

After all, she is employed by Kohl’s, she can’t tell me they are not worth it. Or act surprised at the price. Could she?

She asked me if I wanted them. I replied no. And then she whispered that she doesn’t blame me.
I continued to look for them in other stores. Even Amazon and EBay, but gee wilikers, they were all around the same cost. πŸ˜”
So I continued on wanting them…just like those trendy fur slides, (which I did actually find, and purchase last night st the Shoe Depot. More on that in the next blog.) πŸ˜ƒ

I’ll be the first to admit, nowadays,  I am the typical basic consumer that wants something that is over-hyped and hard to get a hold of.

But I’m also stubborn. In the fact that my frugalness will not allow me to pay retail. Ever!

This takes us to last week when I opened my mail box to find a $10 off coupon from Kohl’s.

I quickly read the fine print to make sure that I didn’t need to shell out $50 to receive the $10 off. Although there was a $50 bottle of parfum I was also eyeing at Kohls…but I know I don’t need another over priced bottle of perfume, when I have more sitting on my dresser then I can ever wear in a life time.

After reading the fine print I saw that it was one of those…. come to kohls and buy anything for $10 and get the $10 item free. If you are able to only come in and buy one item, then leave.

Like Target, who in their right mind can go to Kohls and only buy one item and leave?

I can!

So I went there and used the coupon for the over priced hair rings. Ya-hoo!

Then I came home to show my oldest daughter my unique, or so I thought, find.

You get three hair rings in the cutest cubed package. I handed one over to her to try out first

She placed her long hair in a high bun and twisted the hair ring around once. Pleased that it held a tight high bun, she smiled and said that it felt like nothing at all. No pulling or weighing down the head.

I then tried one out, having to twist it around twice because my hair is shorter and thinner then hers. It felt great! Exactly the way I expected it to feel. And all for free!

Then my daughter examined them and said, “These look like those old 90’s bracelets that she use to wear as a kid.”

It took me a moment to scan all the popular girls bracelets  that have been popular throughout the years… jelly, slap, silly, friendship, pen bracelets…And yes! Those twisty ones! Ugh!

If I recall right, they still sell all of the above at the dollar tree. *sigh*

After having a moment of anger verses sadness, I kicked those feelings aside and continued to love my free over priced hair rings.

Fast Forward:

Last night while shopping at Walmart with same daughter, she came across the girls 90’s coil bracelets. $1 for a pack of 3!

Sure, they are bright colors. No neutrals, which is what I tend to stick with, but they had them non the less. They are also made alot better then the over priced hair rings and while they are a bit bigger in size, they still feel like nothing in your hair.

Yes, of course I bought them …and have already worn one to the pool. The bright pick one, which is why it’s not shown here in the pictures. And the brown original hair ring that I gave yo my daughter is also not shown here. But I wanted to show a side by side comparison.

So there you have it. Do I regret using my coupon on them… not really. I did at first, but I’m very partial to neutrals for daily use. I will also wear the bright colored ones for the gym, lounging pool side, etc…

And I would still never, ever, pay $8 on any hair accessory..

New Toy! EVO RV headset

I went to a party this past Saturday and tried to win this puppy. I guess I’m late to the party, as be never seen this headset before this past Saturday.

I did win something, btw, Β I won a Micheal Kors clutch instead. Worth $108, so I shouldn’t complain. πŸ˜‰

Alas’I kept thinking about this headset though, so yesterday I went Β out and bought it. It’s very easy to use!

You just download an App, then slide your phone in the back part, and you are ready for your virtual reality expirence.

It feels like you are in a planetarium. 🌌

You can watch Videos, YouTube,etc.

Oh! And if you are thinking this would cost a lot of money, Nope! $14.99 at Walmart.

Whish self tanning coconut cream

This is a quick review for Whish Self-Tanner.

It’s not all that cheap. $30 for 5ozsToΒ the best of my knowledge it’s one of the only all natural self tanners on the market. So I wanted to give it a go.

It’s not a spray, foam, or lotion.

It’s a body butter. Thick and creamy!

(Think Nivea cream)

It’s not suppose to leave that tradition tanning smell on you either, or streak.

It’s suppose to give you a very natural glowy look. NOT ORANGE!

It doesn’t have a color guard or bronzer. So you do need to take your time and spread it evenly.

Like you would a traditional body butter.

I generally use St.Tropez self tanner, which has a color guard and bronzer in it, so I was looking forward to a more natural approach.

That said, if it sounds to good to be true, it generally is. Or so the saying goes…

I followed the directions to the tee with this one. I was excited to see the results later that evening!
It smells like coconut coming out.
It has a very nice pump. Spreads easily.

I didn’t use a mitt with this one, but I made sure to wash my hands throughly afterwards.

I used three pumps for each leg. Two pumps for each arm, one pump for chest area, and a half pump for my face.

I smelled like a fresh coconut afterwards!
But then around the four hour mark, I looked in the mirror and saw “The Don” looking back at me.

I looked at my hands, wrists and feet.. they were very pronounced. A not so nice coral orange shade. *sigh*

I’m left very confused. I read many rave reviews, and even watched a few YouTube videos claiming how great this product was.
So I don’t want to diss the product entirely. Perhaps it works better with certain skin undertones. I’m neutral. Not warm or cool.

I have the Whish shaving cream and charcoal mask, and I love them both. I really do enjoy the brand.
So… I guess I’m going to hold off using this again by itself. I may try mixing it with one of my bare minerals foundations which tend to be very liquidity. I will try to find a positive way to use it up. I hope!
I’d love to hear if anyone else has tried this particular self tanner and how you liked it.

Smithfields Fried ChickenΒ

We were visiting a different part of the state today for lunch. Nothing fancy. Fast food.

Smithfield’s Chicken.

I’ve never liked KFC, Boston Market, or Bojangles… so this was a real treat.

It was SO good! At least for me it was. πŸ˜‰

I ordered the 2pc combo. $6.89

I thought it only came with potato salad and slaw, so was very surprised when it was deliver with pulled pork and hush puppies. Very large portions! Two people could have shared it. Drinks were extra.

Here is a picture of the menu.

Here are the larger portions you can order. I’m still trying to figure out who would order these. Maybe for a Southern style wedding?

Church gathering?

Super bowl?

Here is what I ordered.

And yes, the fork came in the slaw. Lol

And the best part of the whole shabang’ was they had crushed ice. Normally I need to be knee deep in labor to have this mush crushed ice. πŸ˜‰
